Thoughtful Thursday POD

I learned an important lesson today on that subject of good, better, and best. I love how Elder Oaks put it when he said, "Some young people are amusing themselves to death—spiritual death."

I often find myself mindlessly plopping down in front of the computer instead of reaching out to those around me because it's entertaining, it's easy, and it's mindless.
But today, I put a time limit on myself when it came to "amusing myself" with the computer...that sounds weird. You know what I mean.
I found myself with some spare time in which I got to go downstairs with my niece and 2 nephews and play with them for a bit.
I got to bounce around on a little horse and make them laugh.
I got to build robots with my nephews and watch him do his new "robot dance."
I got to cuddle with my niece on the couch and eat vanilla wafers.
I got to tickle my nephew with kisses to cheer him up when he got his feelings hurt.
Each one of them individually came up to me at random times, put their cute little arms around me, and gave me loves.
I would have missed that if I decided to go on facebook, or blog stalk instead.
What an important lesson for me in "Good, Better, and Best."

Today was the best.
Just something to think about on this "thoughtful thursday!"

Don't you just love it when your soulmate says exactly what you need to hear but don't necessarily want to hear because sometimes it's just easier to not be accountable?

I do.
