Day 0

Well I leave tomorrow morning..aka the official adventure has yet to begin and it's already been CRAZY!!! We are all meeting up in Salt Lake City tomorrow morning at 9 am to fly out as a group, so I was planning on leaving Missouri today. My flight was at 2:30, and on our way to the airport, I realized I didn't pack my photo ID, so we RUSH home, and make it back to the airport 20 minutes before my flight leaves. I feel like I'm a frequent traveler and I have NEVER missed a flight in my life...I was in shock. Plus, I have never seen so many people at the KC airport in my life. Go figure right? Every single flight was booked, some even overbooked. We checked everywhere and kept getting the same, "no". By this time I wanted to just die...my flight left for the trip of my life in 16 hours. I kept thinking of all the options...and honestly, it was all a stretch. I got on a standby flight but it was overbooked...never a good combination.

So I went home to try to calm down before my standby flight was scheduled to leave. We got back to the airport and again, it was the busiest I've ever seen (and under staffed...seriously, it was my worst nightmare staring me in the face). I finally got to talk to a baggage agent and he assured me that I should go ahead and check my bag (full of important things I NEEDED for India). Afterwards, I ran through security (sweating bullets) and finally met up with the ticket agent to try to see what I could do. There was lots of talking, me crying, her saying "It's not looking good sweetie" and then out of nowhere....a ticket with my name on it starts to print. I quickly grabbed it, threw my arms up in the air, and started bawling. Miracle. I honestly don't know what I would have done had I not gotten on that flight...there really were no other reasonable options. Oh it makes me sick just thinking about it...anyways, I'm here. I'm safe. And I am so dang blessed!!!

I know God had a purpose in all of this..there must have been a reason for me not to be on that earlier flight, but hot dang, I'm grateful to be here.

Miracles still exist!

Please let Day 1 be better than Day 0...please..please....
