I know it's a little personal to share those tender words.
But my heart is so full, my life is so full of rich blessings.
This summer has taken us for a ride
with twists and turns neither one of us saw coming.
But I wouldn't change a thing. It's brought us here.
It's brought "us" back.
I love that face up there.
Today I emailed him and complained to him about a couple things.
He said, "I've gotten my head out of my butt, and I suggest you do the same."
I love that he talks to me like that. I love that he doesn't wipe off his face when he eats bbq.
I love that he would smack my butt as a way of saying "hi."
We needed this break, this challenge, this past summer.
We each got a taste of what life would be like without each other.
We saw that life would go, and could go on.
But how lucky am I that he came back?
My best friend.
My heart.

I really, really love this. Remember how some people say they're done with their missionaries, and I think, "Yeah... I can see that..." but when you said you were backing off, it just felt weird for me? I'm glad you two are back. :)
