These posts will stop eventually, I promise (I think).......
My Sweet Ryan,
Something I really love about you is your romantic side. You
have a tender heart, and you've loved me with it from day 1.
You know how much I love flowers, and you used that to your advantage. You may think that I didn't make a big deal about each time you gave me roses, but it was a big enough deal for me to take pictures. Every time.
I think I had just gotten home from a trip to New York for a week. We were getting into the car to head downtown for a special date. You whooped these puppies out from behind my seat and set them on my lap. I asked you, "What are these for?" And although I can't remember exactly what you said, it probably went something like this- "Do I have to have a reason to buy flowers for my girlfriend?"
Oh, no you don't have to have a reason. And you rarely ever did.
Yellow is one of my favorite colors. I was having a bad day at work, and I was feeling kinda sick so I decided to leave work early and go home. Your house was semi-close to where I was working, and when I texted you this news, you told me to meet you at the nearest McDonalds and wait for you. I was ticked-I just wanted to go home and lay down. But you were worth the wait. You pulled up with gift bag full of chocolate, a sweet card, and these beauties. After you drove off, I was not only feeling ill-sick, but love sick. I was amazed at your thoughtfulness.
And I still am.
After we had been at college for a few months (you, in Missouri and me in Utah) you called me one day and told me to check the mail right that moment. I was confused? "Can't it wait?!"-I asked you.
Well, I guess he had ordered me flowers online and that I needed to check the mail ASAP so they wouldn't die. I didn't even know you could order flowers online!! It was a sweet smelling surprise from 1,000 miles away. Everyone on my floor was squealing and saying "I want a Ryan!!!!"
I am so lucky to have my own Ryan.
Although, does this make me a mail-order girlfriend now? Crap.
Now, this batch of flowers was really special for me. You were out at Utah with me at this point. I think it was a Friday, and I had come home from school to find my bed covered in rose petals, bananas, and diet coke (necessities of life). Then I looked at my desk, and there was a dozen roses! Can you imagine my surprise?!! The best part was that it was COMPLETELY out of the blue. Not an anniversary, not Valentine's day, nothing. Pure thoughtfulness and pure love. I love you, Ryan.
You gave these to me on our 1 year anniversary about a month ago. This was the first time you had ever given me red roses. They were some of the best smelling, and most gorgeous roses I've ever seen.
Anyways, I just wanted you to know that I noticed the not-so little gestures Ryan. You really know how to charm the ladies!!!
Consider me charmed,
Whitney
