99 Balloons

"An underdeveloped lung, a heart with a hole in it, and DNA that plays faulty information into each and every cell in the body, could not stop God from revealing himself through a child who never uttered a word."

My nursing professor played this video for us the other day in class and by the end of it our whole class was in tears!
It just so happens that I left clinical today feeling the same way I did after I watched this video, because my patient today had this very syndrome.
I usually don't get affected by things I see in the hospital, I'm pretty good at leaving them there.
And maybe it's a mixture of the effects this video had on me....but, well...let's just say today was a hard day.
I think I learned that this child may look lowly in the eyes of the world, but they have a special purpose and I could feel it...anyone could feel it as soon as they stepped in the room.

I haven't kept up on blogs much lately, but I read yours this morning and of course cried over the video. Just gives a little perspective on how blessed I am. I so appreciate the perspective of the sweet parents. If we could all have that attitude everyday with whatever our life holds...
