I did rotations in the OR last week.
I felt totally legit.
Everyone else thought I looked legit too.
Doctors and surgeons would ask me questions like,
"What's the diagnosis on this patient?
Can you go and get me such and such tools?
I need 40 cc's of antibiotics stat."
It was after they asked me those questions
and got a pretty awesome blank stare from me
that they realized I was just a student.
Oh well. It was fun to pretend like I was legit.
But you know what was really legit?
I got to see brain surgery that day.
Very humbling. Very amazing. And even though I just sat there for 3 hours,
the tension in the room made me exhausted.
It was legit.
I absolutely adore them.
Which is a good thing because we have every. single. class together.
We study together. We eat together. We cry together. We laugh together.
We might as well sleep together?
Gross, no. But you know what I mean.
We were trying to figure out what face to make in this picture.
Right before the camera went "click" someone yelled out
"Just...just....just...open your mouth as big as you can!!"
And this is the result.
I love us.
