In high school I had this dreamboat of a boyfriend. His name was Tyler and he was pretty hot stuff. I had had a crush on him since 8th grade. Basically every girl did! The dude eventually ran off to NYC to become an underwear model. I'm not even kidding.

When I was a sophmore in high school, he was a senior. And one day, for some crazy reason, he asked me out. We eventually started dating (trust me, I got a lot of "You're dating WHO!!!'s") It was awesome. I felt like cinderella. He took me to his senior prom and gave me my first kiss on the lips that night. Oh yeah, I totally got home and collapsed in this puddle of pure happiness after that night. Top 10 moments of my life so far....

That summer he invited me down to his family's lake house for a whole week (I was only 16) and my parents let me go! One night he took me out on the back porch and we slow danced to this song.

And then the next week he broke my heart.

So that's why this song = sad. Except now when I hear this song I just think "Hmm, slow song" but it used to make me cry big fat teenager tears!
